Our founding story
The thinking behind J & Partners.
EST. 2023
After years spent leading HR from within businesses, we saw the same problem repeatedly: external consultants delivering standard frameworks that internal teams then had to spend considerable time adapting.
Large consulting engagements can be highly tailored, but their scale and cost are not always accessible to businesses that need the same rigour and attention. At the other end of the market, smaller outsourced offerings too often rely on generic templates.
J & Partners was established in 2023 to offer a different proposition: bespoke strategic HR consulting with the close attention, commercial understanding and practical ownership of a specialist firm.
We believe people solutions should grow from a clear understanding of leadership priorities, line managers, employees and the working culture—not simply from an off-the-shelf document. Compliance matters, but so does whether the organisation can adopt and sustain the solution.
